From the fundamentals to the latest procedures and technology, this degree prepares you for a career as a registered nurse. You ll learn to provide care to people of all ages with common physical and mental health problems. Your high-tech training includes plenty of hands-on experience with a wide range of clinical skills, health assessments and medication administration. In addition to a significant emphasis on patient care, you will also learn about drug classifications and their effect on the body, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyles. Throughout your training, you ll practice critical thinking, leadership, team building and accurate communications, which will prepare you to work effectively in a variety of environments and with diverse patient populations. Electives allow you to pursue specific areas of interest. Upon completion, you'll be eligible to take the National Council of State Board's examination to become a registered nurse.

A program that requires its students to demonstrate they have successfully acquired a set of skills or knowledge base prior to completing the program. Compare to a "time-based" training program that results in successful completion if the students participate in a certain number of instructional hours.

FVTC Teaching & Learning Center - tutoring is available for Math, Accounting, Science, Reading and study skills, writing and study groups.
Tuition and fees are subject to change. Costs may not include all books or all materials and supplies.Some textbook costs may be included in the estimated program cost
Refunds are processed according to the WTCS refund policy. Wisconsin Technical College 10.08, Wisconsin Administrative Code, establishes the requirements for district policies and procedures related to student fee refunds. Refunds are applicable only from the date the student officially drops the class through Enrollment Services or online. FVTC will not drop any classes for students for nonpayment or for failure to attend any portion of the class. All references to student fees mean applicable
